Ronnie was a very special friend. He touched many lives. One day Stuart came home from a softball practice that Ronnie had coached. He said, “That is the most fun I have ever had at a practice.” I think that described Ronnie perfectly. He was a great coach and most of all, he made things fun. I have wonderful memories from the time times I worked with him. I am very sorry for your loss.

Enjoyed umpiring with Ronnie. Arkansas softball has lost a dedicated umpire. I know he will be missed.

Best Regards , My name is Dennis Kessen and I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. I moved to HSV about five years ago. One of my first activities was playing pickleball at the Desoto courts. Ronnie was so friendly and helpful to everyone , I was extremely impressed because he was a much better player than the others ! Then later when I saw the request for carpool assistance for his treatments in Little Rock , I volunteered ! This is when I had the opportunity see a real religious , humble , and family-man ! My only regret is not having the opportunity to know him better and share our life experiences ! May his spirit rest in eternal peace !

Coach was a good fellow who inspired athletes to do their best and do it for joy. Joy is what he had for life, family and friends. He taught both of our children and speak affectionately of Coach Hawkins. May the family be comforted by memories and God's love and strength.

Very sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort from the words at Psalms 147:3 that says; "He is healing the broken hearted ones and is binding up their painful spots." God as the hearer of prayer will comfort you in the days ahead as you remember Mr. Hawkins.
